Hello Greenbone Team,

We are trying to learn how to write our own custom NASL scripts and use them inside OpenVAS.
Currently, we are not sure about the roadmap and best practices for NASL development.

We would like to learn:

  • How to start writing custom NASL scripts.

  • How to integrate these scripts into OpenVAS properly.

  • How to test and deploy them in a live environment.

  • Whether there is any official documentation or recommended workflow for custom NASL development.

Any guidance or reference would be highly appreciated.
