Hi, I am running Community version 24.10 in Docker, and the version of the CVEs and CPEs does not correspond to the date of the version in feed status. Moreover, there are few days between both. I have no problems with NVTs. Someone have an explanation?
Hello,
and welcome to this community forums. As this is unrelated to the community containers i have moved this thread into a better fitting category.
Maybe some one familiar with the feed deployment is noticing this and can provide an answer, but i guess this is the expected behavior as the feed version date doesn’t reflect the publication date of CVEs or CPEs at all.
Thank you for your feedback. I’ve check on SecInfo and the last one has been published Thu, Sep 11, 2025. As I was able to read, it seems to me that there is a time difference between the publication of the cves of the enterprise and community versions but there is almost 1 week between both.
Just for your reference, the Enterprise Feed does have a SLA that does not apply to the Community Feed.
As long as the feed status is shown as “Current” (which is the case according to the screenshot in the first post) i wouldn’t worried much about such internal details, especially as feed deployment topics are out of the reach of users anyway.
But as previously mentioned the date in the “Published” column of CPEs and CVEs is not the date when it got published in the Greenbone feed and thus has no connection to the feed date.
IIRC the date in the “Published” column is the one when it got published in the NVD database and there can be always a few days in between, especially on the weekends.
