I’m trying to use the tool to test a website
the site has lots of my folders and i would like the target to be myfolder not the root. It seems not possible to set up a target with the subfolder in it ?
You can add any additional folders to be scanned to the cgi_path scanner preference described here:

By default the web root (/) is also always scanned and you currently can’t change this behavior. But there are a few additional web scanning related options in the following VT to control the web scanning:
