Stop requested but not stopping

but When I do htop

this is the result (and it was still going on for 20 min )

as you can see, openvas is still testing while I asked to stop. What command can I do to force stop

You need to wait until the running NVT is finished. If you run many parallel NVTs on many Hosts it can take several hours to stop a task.

I have a simiar issue with a “stop requested” status it seems that neither restart og waiting the NVT out is enough.
