Hello Everyone,

I am having issues running tasks, they seem to go straight to done after I start it. Ive looked in /var/log/openvas/openvasmd.log and in there I see

event task:MESSAGE:2019-11-21 14h35.50 UTC:5681: Status of task CORP 21NOV2019 (b45be891-74cf-41ef-bf8c-e4458887caee) has changed to Running

Has anyone else seen this error or have any recommendations?

Hi,

you seem to use GVM/OpenVAS 9 which is outdated and unsupported. Please update to a newer version because the issue might been fixed already.

I have the same issue while i’m running scans and I’m using version 7.0.3.

@ehans Please see the previous posted information:

GSA 7.0.3 was part of GVM / OpenVAS 9, please update to a more recent version and try again.

what is the latest version?

I’m looking to have this installed on Kali and not use the VM Appliance version.

Thanks,
Eric

The latest version is GVM 11.
To build that from source you’ll need openvas-7, gvmd-9.0, gvm-libs-11.0, gsa-9.0, ospd-2.0 and ospd-openvas-1.0.
