Please follow the instructions marked with FIX above and run this

IMPORTANT NOTE: this script is provided and maintained by Debian and Kali.
If you find any issue in this script, please report it directly to Debian or Kali
The Kali script does work well, as long as there’s enough disk space and Kali has been updated to the latest version before installation. I’ve installed it on my test systems at least 50 times over the past month, and I’ve never encountered any issues.
Personally I don’t care if it works or not. It’s not relevant to me and any issue reported by the script is not my business. If it catches an issue Kali should provide docs for fixing it.
I’m genuinely interested in this Kali issue, but there’s no basic information provided — no details on what was done, how it was done, or how the system was set up. The user should start with a clean Kali installation and then run the following commands:
export DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive
apt -y update
apt -y upgrade
apt -y install openvas
gvm-setup
gvm-check-setup
With the information currently available, it’s completely impossible to offer any meaningful help. In most cases, the issue is user error — typically due to insufficient memory, disk space, or both.
