Problem install GVM 11 on CentOS 7 (openvas-scanner failed)

Hello,

For two weeks ago, I have a problem for to install GVM 11 on my infrastructure (or rather, I updated a host which is updated GVM 11 and crashed). I’m on CentOS 7 and I use Atomicorp repositories for the installation of OpenVAS ( we do monthly scans).

But, for two weeks, when I try to install it (with yum install greenbone-vulnerability-manager), I have a problem with the package openvas-scanner :

error: %pre(openvas-scanner-7.0.0-9465.el7.art.x86_64) scriptlet failed, exit status 2
Error in PREIN scriptlet in rpm package openvas-scanner-7.0.0-9465.el7.art.x86_64
  Verifying : openvas-scanner-7.0.0-9465.el7.art.x86_64

And in gvmd.log I have this

md main:MESSAGE:2020-08-31 10h20.46 utc:23791: Greenbone Vulnerability Manager version 9.0.0 (DB revision 221)
md manage:WARNING:2020-08-31 10h20.46 utc:23792: sql_open: PQconnectPoll failed
md manage:WARNING:2020-08-31 10h20.46 utc:23792: sql_open: PQerrorMessage (conn): FATAL: role "root" does not exist
md manage:WARNING:2020-08-31 10h20.46 utc:23792: init_manage_process: sql_open failed

I already tried to create manually the role, the database etc but next I have a problem with a function. So impossible to start the gvmd service. And if I try to install an old version, gvmd wants automatically update itself (and obviously dependencies too).

I looked for to see if someone had a similar problem but I found nothing (but an OpenVAS installation on CentOS seems not most common).

So, if someone had the same bug and has managed to solve it, I’m interested.

Thanks.

This seems to be a known bug in the packages provided in that repository:
