Missing Notus files in gvm-check-setup

I saw this

Both scripts gvm-setup and gvm-check-setup currently shipped in Kali (or any other Linux Distribution) are not provided any maintained by Greenbone.

In the case of Kali any issue or feature / improvement request would need a newly created issue over there:

My issue is I have done the gvm-setup on kali, but i didn’t get my notus files according to the gvm-check-setup. is this an issue to be asked to kali.org? I would love to learn this tool. thanks for your help!

sudo greenbone-feed-sync --type notus

ERROR: Your GVM-23.11.0 installation is not yet complete!

Please follow the instructions marked with FIX above and run this
script again.

I have run sudo greenbone-feed-sync --type notus and still same result.
also i am running this on VirtualBox kali linux VM with 100gbs storage - it wouldn’t be a storage issue would it?

Firstly, I would check that you are using the official Kali Linux install method provided by Greenbone. Secondly, check your Network connection is not being interrupted during the feed-sync process.

Although this check is reporting as OK:

OK: NVT collection in /var/lib/openvas/plugins contains 105 NVTs.

The check is not a robust check of a successful feed-sync. It only checks that a small number of the files are downloaded. In this case, 105 NVTs is far less than expected. So, I guess you are experiencing some network interruption during the process.
