Md manage:WARNING:2022-11-23 08h33.32 UTC:63422: osp_scanner_feed_version: failed to connect to /run/ospd/ospd-openvas.sock

Hello

I have made new installation on debian 11 flowing https://greenbone.github.io/docs/latest/22.4/source-build/index.html

In gvmd.log I see “md manage:WARNING:2022-11-23 08h33.32 UTC:63422: osp_scanner_feed_version: failed to connect to /run/ospd/ospd-openvas.sock” poping up every 10 seconds.

There is pid file for ospd-openvas but no sock.

Tried restarting both services without any success.

Any help will be appreciated.

You need to check /var/log/gvm/ospd-openvas.log for possible errors. gvmd waits until ospd-openvas has loaded the VT meta information from the feed data and is ready to accept connections via the unix socket. It seems that something is going wrong during the startup of ospd-openvas.

I haven’t implemented logrotate for this logs yet.
