Connect python client (python-gvm) to GVM 11 via SSH

Hi, I’ve managed to setup a ssh connection like you want to use. You need to create a user with a shell that points to a script that can expose unix socket. e.g useradd -s /shell.sh test Script content: #!/bin/bash socat UNIX:/usr/local/var/run/gvmd.sock - That will make GVM unix socket to be exposed to test user TTY. If you read the full post, you will find @bricks has mentioned and described why GMP over SSH does not work out-of-the-box for the Greenbone COMMUNITY EDITION products.

That being said, regarding the python-gvm code you posted:

As stated in the docs,

GMP class is Dynamically select supported GMP protocol of the remote manager daemon.

So, it should select the right version your your gvmd version.

However, for your question about the ode sample: you are more likely to get replies if you provide more details with errors from your code that you are actually testing rather than asking “would this code from 5 years ago work?”
