Hello everyone, how to update openvas scanner 22.7.2 > 22.7.3 without reinstalling?
(installed version from source, ubuntu 22.04 LTS)

Is the option to install using the “cmake” command over the old version suitable?

Hello @Andrey_Gorin,

You cannot only use the cmake command to update the scanner. You also have to move the built files into their required place in the Linux file structure. You should follow these instructions:

One important note:

It is not enough to only update the openvas-scanner component. All other components like e.g. gvm-libs, gvmd and similar should be updated as well for reliable vulnerability scanning.
