How do you access the equivalent of the GOS-Admin-Menu from SSH under Greenbone Community Edition

How do you access the equivalent of the GOS-Admin-Menu from SSH under Greenbone Community Edition installed on a linux host ?

In past experiences with the virtual appliance the python interface executes on connection over SSH . I’ve been searching around the documentation for the past day or so trying to find the command or executable that loads it to no avail. And to my understanding for things like making modifications to the certs, adjusting or resetting superuser or other accounts, upgrades, reviewing the logs, setting up backup etc. that was the interface.

Thx in advance.

Bobby.

Hello, the Greenbone Operating System (GOS) and its menu are only included in our Enterprise products and not in the Community Edition.

Note that our documentation at https://docs.greenbone.net/ also focuses on the Enterprise products - if something that is documented there is not present in the Community Edition, it is very likely an Enterprise feature.

For the Community Edition documentation see Greenbone Community Documentation or feel free to ask here in this forum!

Just to give some more details to @Martin’s response

This isn’t available out of the box or in the documentation for the Community Edition. You need to forward a SSH connection to the unix socket of gvmd to implement this feature by yourself.

These are of course features an operating system provides for you. The Greenbone Community Edition is not an operating system nor a full featured appliance software. This is exactly the difference between purchasing a product and setting up free software/open source on your own.
