Host crashes at 98% of task

I just updated to the newest conatiner versions … 26.x.x….
After spending a lot of time to solve issues while updating everything was looking fine.

But now.
in the endphase of a task ~98% the whole vm stucks and finally goes to undefinied state. i think its not an outofmemory and i dont see any kernel output.

Does anybody have the same issue?

Some log output would help here … all this is not debug able in any case!

Try a syslog-server and sending all logs via network to a log-server to be able to see what happens.

Same. Memory leakage
registry.community.greenbone.net/community/openvas-scanner stable a5be2ca17642

AFAIK the current stable tagged version of the openvas-scanner used by the containers is 23.32.4, but you can see in this thread, that where was a memory leak bug which, according to this post, was patched in version 23.34.1 of openvas-scanner.

@mikch06 There is a new ospd-openvas image which contains the openvas scanner with the fix. Pulling the new image should solve the issue.

Regards!

Hi guys and thanks for all your helps and hints!
Hi have no logs, because i dont see the memory usage inside the container. The vm instantly stops.
But i’ll update in a few days after xmas.

Thanks a lot to all of you!
