Gvm on rocky linux

I have installed gvm/openvas on rocky linux by following the tutorial: How to install OpenVAS on Rocky Linux 9 | CentLinux

The installation is successful but the issue is that the vulnerability database is taking too long to get updated (current). It still says updates are in progress. Is there any way i can do this manually.

Thanks

Hello Maaz,

depending on your system this could also take several hours. It’s doing the updates in the backround. You could check that with htop. There you should find a service from gvmd who needs a decent amount of your CPU.
On my installation it took 4 hours I think.

Its been 3 days since the installation and setup. Is there any conflict that might be the cause?

Please note that the Atomic repository (which is mentioned / used in the installation guide) is shipping heavily outdated and already EOL versions of the GVM software stack where no feed compatibility is given / no support can be expected.

This was already reported a few years ago like shown / reported to the repository maintainer below.

Please choose one of the supported installation methods listed on Greenbone Community Documentation instead.
