Please tell us what do you use exactly. The Greenbone trial versions ship without a root account / possibility to login ad-hoc.
Not sure if you can enable a root user like on the commercial versions.
Hello, sorry to bump a semi-old thread but Google has this indexed and I’m having the same issue. I just downloaded OS 22.04.27 and every time I would update feeds the entire admin portal would lock up and throw errors. I investigated a little and it seems that /var/lib/postgresql would fill up when downloaded new feeds. I can run the originals that come with the VM but updating breaks the web application, rendering it unusable. I can’t log in when postgresql gets full either.
Closing as a duplicate of the thread linked below which also contains a temporary workaround until a new version of the VM is available (the root password is not required afterwards).
