We are happy to announce the our new, free and public trial solution with GOS 20.08 - the Greenbone Security Manager TRIAL! The GSM TRIAL replaces the old Greenbone Community Edition.

The GSM TRIAL includes several, but not all, of the new features in Greenbone OS 20.08. The full Greenbone Professional Edition feature set including schedules, alerts, backup & restore, sensors, virtual LAN, network namespaces and air-gap is only available on commercial GSM solutions.
The following new functionalities are available on the GSM TRIAL:

EFI/UEFI boot mode
- Note that your hypervisor must support EFI/UEFI due to this change!

- Note: The Greenbone Community Feed contains less scan configurations, compliance policies, port lists, and report formats than the commercial Greenbone Security Feed, and compared to the old Greenbone Community Edition 6.0 and before. You can apply for a 14 day test key of the Greenbone Security Feed here.

- Note: For the GSM TRIAL, it is only possible to transfer data to a commercial GSM model. Importing data on a GSM TRIAL is not supported.
