Greenbone OS 24.10.7 released

For GOS 24.10, a new patch level is available.

For both the web interface and downloadable reports, the Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS) textual severity ratings are now always based on CVSSv3.0. The numerical scores and vectors still depend on whether CVSSv3 data is available. If CVSSv3 data is available, it is used, otherwise CVSSv2 data is used as a fallback.

With this release, the included package gvm-tools was updated to version 25.4.2 and the included package python-gvm was updated to version 26.7.1

Additionally, the Linux kernel has been upgraded from version 6.6.92-greenbone1 to version 6.6.116-greenbone1 for hardware appliances and from version 6.1.148-1 to version 6.1.158-1 for virtual appliances.

Note: an upgrade to this version requires a reboot of the system.

In total, GOS 24.10.7 covers 9 improvements, 18 bug fixes, and 3 security fixes. For a complete list of changes, see the Roadmap & Lifecycle page: Roadmap and Lifecycle
