Greenbone OS 22.04.2 released

For GOS 22.04, a new patch level is available:

The release fixes a bug where activating the SNMP service was not possible and thus, no SNMP connection to the appliance could be established.

For the hardware appliances, the kernel was upgraded to version 5.10.136 as the former version 5.10.127 was vulnerable to CVE-2022-2585, CVE-2022-2586, CVE-2022-2588, CVE-2022-26373, CVE-2022-29900, CVE-2022-29901, CVE-2022-36879 and CVE-2022-36946.

Multiple scanner bugs were fixed, e.g., an issue where duplicate results or results of other scans appeared in the scan report, an issue where scans were continued in the background although they were stopped by the user, and an issue where SSL/TLS enabled services were not detected correctly.

In addition, the release includes several security fixes that address current CVEs for third-party libraries included in GOS.

In total, GOS 22.04.2 covers 10 improvements and 10 bug fixes. For a complete list of changes, see the Roadmap & Lifecycle page:
