I have set up my GreenBone Open VAS on VM ware
It was working a week back
Now i get the login error : The Greenbone Vulnerability Manager service is not responding. This could be due to system maintenance. Please try again later, check the system status, or contact your system administrator.
Unable to access root as well
I dont have the paid version
Its free version i am using.
Is there a solution to this error?
Can you please provide your installation method and version for the components?
I have exactly the same problem,
Installing GVM on Proxmox or VirtualBox, same issue
Greenbone version 22-04-27
I install and configure, connect to the web interface and run a scan. After several minutes, when I reconnect to the interface I get this message on login:
The Greenbone Vulnerability Manager service is not responding. This could be due to system maintenance. Please try again later, check the system status, or contact your system administrator.
Same here.
Problem occurs last week under version 22.04.21.
Yesterday asked for the current “Free” version and got Greenbone-Enterprise-TRIAL-22.04.27-VirtualBox.ova
Fresh install looked good at the beginning but after a restart the a.m. message is shown now.

Oh, my mistake. I wrongly assumed that the Greenbone free would be issued with updated filename. 
Closing as a duplicate of the thread linked below which also contains a temporary workaround until a new version of the VM is available.
