You can find a tremendous number of guides, howtos, articles and YouTube videos about installing and using the Greenbone Community Edition (also known as OpenVAS). Most of them are outdated and many of them contain unsatisfactory or even wrong information.
Therefore in 2021, we at Greenbone started to write an official documentation which can be found at https://greenbone.github.io/docs/. This documentation is extended permanently and covers several topics already:
