Could you guide me on what to do next ? please.

Regards

@Snoozy01 please wait unting feedsync populates the database. that can take up to three hours.

Eero

Thanks @Eero.

Unfortunately almost 24h later, there is no progress.

In the meantime

  • I updated/upgraded the OS with last version,
  • Reboot
  • sudo gvm-check-setup => OK
  • updated again de feeds (they are all in status “Current”).

Scan config is still empty.

If I try creating a first task, error msg “Failed to create a new Task because the default Scan Config is not available.”

Would you have any advise on what to check or perform from now?

Regards

In addition, after reboot and gvm-start (48h later), status feed evolved to

NVT : 2 days old

3 others : Update in progress…

… will wait another 24h

You require a full feed-sync to complete before you can create and start a scan. Also, the packages for Kali Linux are not maintained by Greenbone. I suggest you post a question in the Kali support forum to ask whether the OPENVAS packages are supported for Raspberry Pi / arm64 architecture. There have been other report that some features are broken when using with arm64 builds.

@Snoozy01

The 8 GB Raspberry Pi is probably too weak for this purpose. It’s worth trying a real PC with at least 16 GB of RAM, four CPU cores, and a fast SSD. A 16 GB Raspberry Pi might work better, but there’s no guarantee.
