Hi, within OpenVAS, is it possible to conduct agent based scanning like in similar scanning systems, or can we perform it ourselves with a distributed scanner over the network?
Maybe you can describe what you mean more clearly or give an example. I’m not quite clear what you are asking.

Sorry for my English. I saw agent-based scanning in older versions of OpenVAS, but I can’t find it in the new version. Is it no longer possible to do this with GVM? I saw a CLI called Oxo and thought I could use it as an alternative, but it doesn’t seem to work with OpenVAS. Is there any way to do this? Thanks for help sir. 
You are correct, very old versions (from 2019 or earlier) showed this functionality. Since it was never fully functional it has been removed since then.
We are currently researching a new agent implementation for the next generation of our products, but we are not ready to share a timeline yet.
