Adding a new NVT to GVM 20.08

Hi,

I added few NVT’s to OpenVAS 20.08 but it seems like when I edit an NVT, and rebuild using “gvmd --rebuild” nothing changes. I changed the family of an NVT to test and checked if the entry in the PostgreSQL changed but it is not.

My actions step by step:

  1. Edit nvt
  2. Flush redis
  3. Restart ospd-openvas
  4. Rebuild gvmd
  5. Restart gvmd

What am I doing wrong?

Adding / using newer VTs is a functionality provided by GVM so i have moved this topic into the better fitting GCE category.
