For all of you who still have the problem despite all recommandations above … I’ve found the solution on another post …
Just run gvm-start, kill the browser and wait … wait … wait for a long time … it’s better to go to lunch !
You want to know why ?
Just run “tail -f /var/log/gvm/gvmd.log” in another terminal BEFORE running gvm-start.
GVM tells you that it doesn’t find the SCAP database and that it rebuilding it from scratch. This takes a long while and you can follow the full story in the logs.
When you have finished your lunch, you can start the browser again and the message should have gone …
