Schedules / Timeshift

is there any way to configure schedules in that way that the scans are running at the same local time of day like e.g. 8.00 PM, no matter if the current time is standard time or daylight saving time.
Currently the scan schedules are switching the time of the scans by one hour once the time-shift is done. I have configured schedules in different time zones as well as UTC.
The timezone of the systems OS does also not seem to change this behavior. I have run it CET as well as UTC.

I am running the latest stable release of GVM-10.

Hi hk0,

As already suggested in this Post:

You must run your OS in UTC and setup the user timezone within the GSA everything else will shift the UTC timezone and mess your schedules up.

Hi Christioph,

this is exactly what I have tested as well and crosschecked a minute back.
As result the scan is supposed to be executed at 3:00 PM CET but 4:00 PM CEST.
I want it to run 3:00 PM CET and 3:00 PM CEST.

The Timezones are a bit confusing here.

4:00 PM CEST is the same time as 3:00 PM CET.

Hint: Timezone Conversion

Are you talking about same time UTC? That would be correct, but to my understanding this is a difference of one hour local time.

our schedules are always stored in UTC for all datetime values and therefore you discovered a bug with this procedure when a used timezone switches to standard time or daylight saving time.

that clarifies my issues. Is there any chance for this bug to get fixed?

we keep track of that.

In the meantime, you could try the following workaround:

Clone the schedule and add the clone to the task.

After that it should work as it should.

Please provide feedback if this is working for you.

Thank you,
