my csv reports are coming out without the equipment’s hostname.
The hostname column is empty
I would like to know if it is registrable within the GVM. I didn’t find the screen.
gvm: 9.0

with gvm 9.0 you are running a very old version of GVM. Please install gvm 11 - your problem might be fixed already.
but is the host name registrable? or does OpenVAS identify you during verification?
You need either a working DNS/revserse DNS or a authenticated host check to get the hostname. The DNS is more a issue of your scan-host and not GVM.
