OpenVAS DB migration error - rev146->184: no such table: main.nvts_172

Hi,

I am trying to migrate an OpenVAS installation from Debian Stretch to Debian Unstable.

Here are the versions:
old: OpenVAS Manager 6.0.9, Manager DB revision 146
new: OpenVAS Manager 7.0.3, Manager DB revision 184

When trying to migrate the old tasks.db, the migration fails with an error at revision 181:

md main: INFO: Migrating to 181
md manage:WARNING: sql_exec_internal: sqlite3_step failed: error in view results_autofp: no such table: main.nvts_172
md manage:WARNING: sqlv: sql_exec_internal failed

Any idea on that?

Many thanks
Olaf

It seems you use Debian packets, we do not support 3rd Party builds, please open a ticket with the Debian packet maintainer to report this issue with a end of life version.

Hi,

please create a new issue about this at the bug tracker below and make sure to provide all required information (e.g. Operating System version etc.) asked at the shown template when filing a new issue.

Thanks, I raised an issue at: https://github.com/greenbone/gvmd/issues/280

What occurred to me is the old version of gvmd/openvasmd (6.0.9) which is from August 2016. The latest version is 6.0.12 from this year.

Independent of whether this is or is not causing the problem:

In general I recommend to first update to the latest state of the currently used generation before migrating to the next one.
