just did a fresh install on Kali.GVMD and GASD are running, did a feed sync. Everything is up to date. When creating task, e.g. scanning the localhost, scaning single hosts or even a host discovery scan, after starting the task it finishes after approx. a minute an there are absolutely no results. Reports are completely empty. Any idea where to dig for the cause?

usually this happens if there’s something wrong with the scanner or if no hosts were discovered. Is there any firewall or IPS that could be blocking your requests? Are the target hosts configured to not reply to ICMP pings or any other host alive check that you selected?
ICMP works fine and no IPS. Firewall not the cause either.
Then maybe check your scanner logs at /var/log/gvm/openvas.log. You can also try verifying your scanner via the web interface (Configuration > Scanners > Verify Scanner).
Scanner now works. Don^t know what changed. Thanks.
